FAQ
Questions we hear before the tape leaves the bag
Straight answers about dust, deposits, timelines, and what Egyptian summers do to cheap glass — without the brochure fog.
Do you install outside Nasr City?
Yes. The desk sits in Masaken Al Mohandesin, but crews work across Greater Cairo — New Cairo, Maadi, Heliopolis, Sheikh Zayed, and nearby compounds. Travel is noted on the quote when distance adds a day.
Why won’t you quote from photos alone?
Photos hide out-of-plumb jambs, lintel depth, and how hard the sun hits at 3 p.m. A template measure keeps you from paying for glass that does not fit — or under-specifying a west wall that will still cook the room.
How do you handle Cairo dust?
Brush seals, serviceable rollers, and drainage that does not trap grit. We also show you how to vacuum tracks without tearing the pile. Perfect dust-proofing does not exist; smart detailing does.
Can you work while we stay in the flat?
Usually yes. We phase rooms, cover floors, and keep one bathroom and kitchen usable. Full-gut commercial fronts may need temporary boarding — planned with you before the first screw turns.
What deposit do you take?
Fabrication starts after written approval and a deposit — typically a portion of materials. Balance is due on satisfactory handover. Exact figures sit on your quote, not in fine print after the fact.
Do you remove old frames?
Yes. Removal, haul-away, and basic make-good of the reveal are line items. Decorative plaster beyond the opening can be coordinated with your painter so nobody argues over who owns the patch.
What if a seal fails later?
Workmanship on seals and hardware is covered under our warranty. Call +20 109 617 1111 or email [email protected] with your job reference and a photo of the issue.
Are uPVC windows an option?
We focus on aluminum systems suited to Egyptian heat and large openings. If a project truly needs uPVC, we will say so and refer rather than force the wrong material onto your façade.
How loud is install day?
Cutting and removal make noise — we say so upfront. We agree work windows with neighbours when needed, and we do not leave open voids overnight on street-facing commercial jobs.
Can I upgrade glass without new frames?
Often yes, if the existing profiles can take a better stack. We check depth and condition on site. Sometimes the honest answer is “replace the system” — we will not re-glaze a failing frame just to take a fee.
